This engagement ring was a truly special and intricate design process, driven by a client with a clear vision and a strong sense of individuality. Similar to a previous client, this client wanted a medieval-inspired design with a bold, chunky, and wide style, but faced the challenge of having slim fingers and large knuckles, making standard ring sizing impossible. We spent many months refining the design to ensure a proper fit, with great attention to detail in both the sizing and stone placement. Given her smaller-than-size-5 finger, it was essential to ensure the stones didn’t appear lost on the side of her finger, while still maintaining the bold aesthetic she desired.

The stone selection process was equally meticulous, as we spent considerable time choosing the perfect blue sapphire that embodied the deep, rich color she envisioned. Additionally, we took great care in choosing the right natural diamonds to complement the sapphire and fit within her budget. Every aspect of the design, from the textured detailing to the liped edges, was carefully considered for balance and harmony. We also had in-depth discussions about the width, height, and style of the edges, ensuring everything was customized to her specific requirements.
