FAQ on planning your permanent jewelry appointment or party.
HUMAN DESIGN HAWAII is proud to offer mobile permanent jewelry for individuals or small parties. We offer our permanent jewelry services in the comfort of your own home or private venue, in person at various pop-up locations, at our studio on Oahu or Manhattan, or at special events, we organize.
We offer a huge variety of chains to choose from ranging in Sterling Silver, 14k Gold Filled, 14k Rose Gold Filled, or 14K Solid Yellow, White, Or Rose Gold.
We are proud to be one of the first companies offering solid 14k yellow, white, and rose gold as well as masculine chains & designs.
We are available Monday to Friday for appointments all you have to do is send us an email with your desired time for scheduling and what you are interested in getting. Small or large groups need to email us with your party details, date, number of guests, and additional party requirements necessary. We are happy to collaborate with you on making your event a special experience.
Permanent jewelry is perfect for any occasion. It's a beautiful bonding experience for you and your friends, moms and daughters, men wanting custom-fitted options for masculine/feminine designs, your siblings, or your significant other. It is also a special treat for yourself, and you deserve it!
We are able to custom-create any anklet, bracelet, or necklace for you. Some of our clients prefer a more minimalistic option like choosing from our variety of chains while others want to create their own unique designs like charm bracelets, or permanent layered necklaces on one link so they do not tangle easily. Select from solid-gold or filled charms, even precious or semi-precious stones, and pearls can be added. We are happy to collaborate on your vision ahead of time if you are looking for something very specific for your appointment.

If you have recently bought a piece of jewelry from us in person or on our website and want to make it permanent we charge a flat rate of $25.00.
FAQ
Q: What is Permanent Jewelry?
A: Permanent Jewelry is a custom-fitted welded chain on your wrist, ankle, or neck. There is no clasp.
Q: Does it hurt?
A: Not at all! You'll see a zap of light, but we have special glasses you can wear to protect your eyes if you want to watch the process.
Q: Can I travel with it?
A: Yes! You can wear your permanent jewelry through security and not take it off. TSA doesn't ask you to remove fine jewelry when going through security.
Q: What if I have to do surgery?
A: Some doctors and nurses don't mind taping up your bling to prevent it from being caught during surgery, but please ask them if this is a possibility before removing your bling. If your doctor requires you to take off your bonded jewelry, you may simply snip one link on the chain (preferably the jump ring we bonded), and save the chain to be reattached by us post-surgery. *We offer 1 free repair and must find your purchase in our system to record this. All repairs after the 1st free repair will incur a $25 fee.
Q: What if I play sports?
A: We recommend taping your jewelry with athletic tape to prevent any pulling or tugging, that could result in breakage.
Q: How can I gift this to someone?
A: If you purchase a Gift Card on our website your gift recipient can use that towards their permanent jewelry purchase. If you would like to include a special note to the recipient, please provide it in our "Notes" section upon checkout, and we are happy to handwrite a note for you.
Q: How do I clean it?
A: You can clean your jewelry piece with warm water and dish soap like Dawn, to remove dirt and oil build up. You may also use a Sunshine Cloth and gently rub your jewelry piece to shine it back up.
Q: Can I add charms?
A: Yes! We offer different size CZ Stones, Precious or Semi-Precious Stones, Gold-Fill & Solid Gold & Silver Charms.
Q: I'd like to do a private party or have this service at an event, how do I do that?
A: We can accommodate private parties of 2 or more any day of the week. Please contact shophumandesign@gmail.com to set up your private party.
Repairs
When you get your permanent jewelry with us, we ensure that your jewelry piece is secure before you leave us. But we also understand life happens which mean accidents can happen too. Just because Human Design Hawaii pieces are designed to last, it does not mean they're unbreakable. Excessive tugging or pulling can result in breakage. If you need to remove your bonded jewelry or it comes off for any reason, you are welcome to bring it back to our shop to get it snipped or reattached. We offer 1 free repair with the original chain and must find your purchase in our system to record this. All repairs after the 1st free repair will incur a $25 fee. If your jewelry is not in its original form and has been neglected, a new piece will need to be purchased. Human Design Hawaii is not responsible for your lost jewelry.
